Home / Home Automation
Residential
A home that anticipates you.
Whole-home automation on Control4 and Crestron: lighting, audio, climate, shading, security and energy, unified into one effortless system.

What we automate
Every system. One language.
Lighting
Architectural lighting control with Lutron and Control4 — engraved keypads replace banks of switches, and scenes follow the rhythm of the day.
Audio & Video
High-resolution music in every room, invisible speakers, and video distribution that moves any source to any screen instantly.
Climate & Shading
Airconditioning, underfloor heating and automated blinds working together — the house holds its temperature without being asked.
Security
CCTV, access control and alarm integration with intelligent alerts. Arm the entire estate from one button on your way out.
Energy
Solar, battery storage and intelligent load management built into the same system — seamless through load-shedding.
Network
Enterprise-grade WiFi and cabling, designed for properties where the network is the foundation of everything above.
The IHO standard
Engineered like infrastructure, finished like furniture.
Behind every effortless room is a plant room built to commercial standards: documented, labelled, monitored remotely and supported under SLA. We design from architectural drawings, prewire during construction, commission in phases and hand over with full documentation and training.
Most of our work comes by referral from architects, interior designers and past clients — a standard we protect on every project.
The process
Engineered during construction, not after.
Whole-home automation works best when it is designed alongside the building. We start from architectural drawings, plan every cable run, keypad and speaker position, and prewire during construction so the technology is built into the home rather than bolted on.
Systems are commissioned in phases and handed over with full documentation, labelling and training, then monitored remotely and supported under SLA. We work on Control4, Crestron, Lutron, Savant, Basalte and KNX, choosing the platform that fits the home rather than forcing one system on every project — and most of our work comes by referral from architects, interior designers and past clients across Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town.
Questions
Smart homes, answered.
How much does whole-home automation cost in South Africa?
It depends entirely on the size of the home and how many systems you integrate — lighting alone is very different from a fully unified home with audio, video, climate, security and energy. Rather than a headline figure, we design to your priorities and provide an itemised proposal after understanding the property and how you live in it.
Control4 or Crestron — which is right for me?
Both are excellent; the right choice depends on the home, the level of customisation and your budget. Control4 offers exceptional value and a vast device ecosystem, while Crestron is favoured for the most bespoke, large-scale installations. We are dealers for both — along with Lutron, Savant, Basalte and KNX — and recommend the platform that genuinely fits your project rather than defaulting to one.
Can you automate an existing home, or only new builds?
Both. New builds give the best result because we can prewire during construction, but we regularly retrofit existing homes using wireless and powerline solutions where rewiring is not practical. A site visit tells us what is achievable without major disruption.
Will my smart home keep working during load-shedding?
Yes — this is core to how we design in South Africa. We integrate solar, battery storage and intelligent load management into the same system, so essential circuits, network and security stay up and the transition through load-shedding is seamless and automatic.
Which areas do you cover?
We operate from studios in Johannesburg (Kyalami) and Cape Town (Century City), serving Gauteng, the Western Cape and the rest of South Africa, with projects extending into sub-Saharan Africa.
Do you provide ongoing support after installation?
Yes. Every system is documented, labelled and handed over with training, then supported under a service-level agreement. We monitor systems remotely so many issues can be diagnosed and resolved without a site visit.
Building or renovating?
The best results begin at drawing stage. Bring us in early and the technology disappears into the architecture.
